Payed parking zones
When deciding to travel by your own means of transport, you should make allowances for the payed parking zones that cover major part of the city. This means that you have to pay for parking in many places. Parking meters are enforced in Cracow on business days, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 20:00.
An up-to-date map of the payed parking areas is available here: http://zikit.krakow.pl/mapa-strefy-platnego-parkowania.html
It should be noted that access to the inner center of Cracow (the so-called restricted public traffic area – Zone B) is available only to cars with a special pass.
A parking fee shall be paid at a parking machine. Having paid the fee, you will receive a ticket that should be placed at a visible place in your vehicle, preferably at the front windshield. You can pay the fee also via the mobiParking application for mobile phones (https://skycash.com/mobiparking.html).
Parking fees :
- First hour - 3 PLN
- Second hour - 3,5 PLN
- Third hour - 4,10 PLN
- Next hours - 3 PLN each
Failing to pay a parking fee, exceeding the parking time specified on the ticket or using an invalid season ticket is subjected to penalty an additional charge of 50 PLN.
There is a possibility of purchasing a season parking ticket for the payed parking zones in the office at 35 Kawaleryjska St (the office is open from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 18:00.)
